A collection of 10 of my favorite screen shots from Mists of Pandaria, edited and resized for the iPhone screen.
I was playing around with Pixelmator (my image editor of choice) tonight and thought I would look at some of my screenshots in a different way. The transition from landscape to portrait is always interesting, no matter if it’s through a camera viewfinder or on a computer screen. How you frame the picture always matters.
I find it interesting that these are all self-portraits. These are my faces, my eyes looking out on this new landscape. There’s quiet contemplation and meditation to counter the fierce exultation of battle and conquest. There’s humor, and whimsy, and mischief; there’s pride and humility and wonder at a created world.
Turn your camera on the side. Change your frames around and see how that changes your perspective on things.
